Then off to start the next one on Monday. Intelligent Transportation Systems Technician - another job that’ll be next to impossible to explain to people. At least my current one people knew ‘what’ it is.. just don’t know what that includes.

i was thinking about how poorly planned the lights were as I was waiting for a green today. There was absolutely no1 where the green light was, meanwhile a massive amount of traffic was waiting to go watching an empty intersection

Those are always fun intersections. I came up go a light the other day on my bicycle and thought “Hrmmm... Those are road embedded loops and they probably dont see me”. Luckily there was a big enough gap in traffic however.

Good news is my work will be highway/bridge/tunnel based so I won’t get too many phasing complaints.

this is near my office and has been a shitshow for YEARS. I mean the original was falling apart 20 years ago and they are still working on the replacement.

Yikes. I mean, at least they’re doing something? Or failing aimlessly to do so. Tunnels and bridged areas are always a headache. From Norfolk/VB/Chesapeake there’s two main routes to get across to Hampton. The HRBT is a 2 lane each way tunnel which constantly has backups. Currently at 4 miles. And for no reason other than people not being able to merge or slamming on their brakes when entering said tunnel. Everyone wants another tube to alleviate traffic. But instead the cities want to add more merge lanes before the tunnel... Because it’s not like the merge lanes are the current choke point as is.
